Moody's Namena is the only resort on the 110 acre Namenalala Island; our maximum capacity is 12 guests as we only have 6 guest bures (cottages) designed to accommodate a couple. We are surrounded by the famous Namena Barrier Reef which became a marine reserve in 2004. This reserve is based on the same principle as Bonaire's Marine Park. Beautiful plastic-coated tags are sold for F$25.00 each to compensate the Fijian villagers who have stopped fishing within their designated reefs and the funds collected go towards scholarship awards to the children of these villages.
COMPLIMENTARY ACTIVITIES includes use of snorkeling equipment, snorkel excursions to the Namena Barrier Reef, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails across the 110 acre island, private beaches for romantic picnics, bird watching, beach volleyball, and beach barbeques. We do not take day tourists so the island is yours.
**Children 16 years or older are welcome. Same rates apply.

You must already be a certified open-water diver; please bring your C-Card as proof. We dive one tank after breakfast in the morning, returning to the island for a sumptuous buffet or beach barbeque lunch. Our afternoon dive departs the dock around 1:30- 2:00 p.m. Our dive sites, depending upon prevailing sea conditions, are a 10-25 minute boat ride from the island. We supply tanks, air, weights/belts, divemaster, boat & crew. If you are not bringing your personal dive gear (BCD, regulator/gauges, wetsuit), please let us know in advance so we can have rental gear on hand for you. If you wish to do a night dive, please bring your underwater torch (light). Rates per dive are US$60.00 + tax. Night dives are US$75 + tax per dive.
FISHING is available. Due to the high cost of fuel to operate a boat outside the barrier reef (no fishing within the marine reserve) we will charge US$60 + tax per hour or portion thereof.

Round-trip sea transfers are based on the first morning flight into Savusavu on your arrival day. On day of departure, schedule either a midday flight back to Nadi or an afternoon flight to Taveuni. Additional charges if any change in arrival/departure times.

Alcoholic or carbonated beverages, sundry items, telephone, fax, internet, scuba diving, fishing. Please note we do not serve alcoholic beverages by the drink. We invite you to purchase a bottle or two of your favorite spirits (gin, rum, vodka, whiskey) at the duty-free shop in the baggage-claim area of the Nadi International Airport as you enter Fiji. Or, let us know in advance and we can purchase locally in your behalf awaiting your arrival. We do have in stock on the island Fiji beer, carbonated beverages, juices, small selection of Australian or New Zealand wines which we will sell you at cost. Weight is a critical factor on the domestic planes; however, a bottle or two of your preferred spirits should not pose a problem. Our bar is self-serve honor system.

Whether a return or first-time guest, your visit is special; however, with our limited capacity we are less flexible than a large resort in our deposit/cancellation terms as your reserved bure is nearly 20% of our total capacity.
